Beaumont Roofing has its own Risk Assessment policy and procedure to enable traceability and accountability and comply with current legislation and the company's own philosophy on care.
The Risk Assessment manual:
- Identifies responsible individuals on any given site
- The methods and schedules of monitoring
- The existing/required controls and consequent recommendations
- Severity scored 1 to 5 (minor to serious)
- Risk scored 1 to 5 (very unlikely to foreseeable accident)
Risk assessments include working at height, adverse weather, use of ladders, scaffolding, plant and tools, loading and storage of materials and disposal of waste.
The assessment relates not only to our inducted workers, but also to others who may be affected by their activities.
Method Statements
We carry out all activities in the light of relevant legal requirements and regulations.
Method Statement and Safe System of Work therefore complies with all health and safety legislation including The Health & Safety at work Act 1974.
In addition to compliance with statutory requirements, we use products, methods of work and protective measures to minimise health and safety hazards. All operatives also undergo Beaumont's bespoke induction process prior to commencing work, as well as receiving on-going training.
Our Method Statement covers areas including employees' personal protection, welfare, working at height, scaffolding, plant & tools, the sequence of work, roof loading and covering, site clearance and customer care.
